National Safety and Quality Service Standards
Notting Hill Day Hospital is fully accredited against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, a mandatory set of eight standards established by the Australian Government for all public and private hospitals.
Accreditation involves a visit to the hospital from an independent team of expert health professionals who review the quality and safety of services provided. This occurs every one to three years, in accordance with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. The hospital is measured against eight overarching standards with many different criteria, including patient-centred care, medication management, clinical handover, infection prevention and staff education.
